We realise that cost-effectiveness is a major consideration in managing claims outside the Brisbane metropolitan area. The opening of our Cairns base will reduce the cost to clients of dealing with claims in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton. It will also ensure that we maintain service consistency, regardless of claim geography, which is crucial in maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
In order to ensure this level of service, Jensen McConaghy Lawyers is excited to announce the appointment of long-time Cairns resident, Melanie Husband as Senior Associate and the firm’s local practitioner.

Melanie graduated from James Cook University in Cairns, with Honours in 2006 and commenced as a Law Graduate with Miller Harris Lawyers. She was promoted to Solicitor, Associate and to Senior Associate in 2014.
Melanie is an outstanding lawyer with 10 years’ post-admission experience in insurance and commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency. She is an excellent communicator and has developed strong and respectful working relationships with the local region and its legal practitioners, barristers and members of the judiciary.
Melanie is a current member and former vice-president of the Far North Queensland Law Association. She is a current committee member of Ramsay Health Care Cairns, a member of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce and Advance Cairns and the Far North Queensland Medico-Legal Society.
Melanie will manage our Northern office and will handle a portfolio of insurance claims from all areas of North Queensland.
